Wausau Name Change
Marathon County Youth Hockey is thrilled to announce a significant and exciting change: the organization will be returning to its original name of Wausau Youth Hockey. This decision comes after careful consideration and extensive feedback from our members, partners, and the community at large.
The new name, Wausau Youth Hockey, reflects the organization's deep and originating connection to the city of Wausau and its surrounding communities. The decision to change the name was not taken lightly. Marathon County Youth Hockey has a proud legacy of providing exceptional hockey programs and fostering the development of young athletes. Wausau Youth Hockey will continue to be known as the Warjacks. There will be minimal rebranding as the Warjack name, logo, and colors will continue. We are excited to embark on this journey and look forward to unveiling the refreshed jerseys with our Wausau name in the coming months.
